Soldier’s Angels Gift drive for Fisher House

Hello,

I know that it may seem soon to be talking about Christmas since it’s not even Halloween yet but last night I was baking sugar cookies and started to sing “It’s begining to look a lot like Christmas every where you go” of course at this point DH cuts in and says with a big smile ”The official day for you to start singing Christmas songs is the day after Thanksgiving”.

At that moment I realized that really we don’t have that much time if we want to send items to love ones that are deployed or in medical facilities. So this morning I decided to look for a program that may interest you in helping.

The Soldier’s Angels is doing a gift drive for Fisher House or you can make donation directly to the Fisher House site. Fisher House™ Foundation donates “comfort homes,” built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

Deadline: all gifts and items must be mailed to the Fisher House by Dec. 9th, 2006.

You will notice the large numbers by the side of the Fisher House that is just a number put there to make it easier for you to tell us what Fisher House you are interested in.

This is on a first asked basis and it doesn’t matter what State you are in you can be the Angel in Charge of any of the Fisher Houses that you choose. Look at the list below and let me know which one you want to look after.
