Veterans interested in joining the Air Force or becoming an active-duty Airman once again may be eligible if they have served in one of nine career fields. During fiscal 2007, the Air Force Prior Service Enlistment Program is available to veterans who have served in the following careers: (1) airborne or ground cryptologic linguist; (2) combat control; (3) tactical air command and control; (4) survival, evasion, resist and escape operations, also known as SERE; (5) pararescue; (6) explosive ordnance disposal; and (7) premier or regional band. Veterans can access the http://www.airforce.com website and click on the “Contact Us” and “Locate an Advisor” links either to find a recruiter.
